摘要
The intermittency features of wind power have adverse impacts on the coal consumption of thermal generators especially during the spinning reserve status and startup-and-shutdown process. A fixed wind power capacity integrated unit commitment model based on energy-saving dispatching principle is established in this paper, and then the functional relations between the expansion of grid-connected wind power capacity and the various relevant coal consumption indexes of the thermal generators are formed. The simulation results of GAMS shows that along with the expansion of grid-connected wind power, the duration of spinning reserve status and the frequency of startup-and-shutdown process both increases. This lowers the unit efficiency and then results in more coal consumption. © Sila Science. All rights reserved.
