摘要
This study compared performance of three different ethnic groups on the Minnesota Percepto-Diagnostic Test-Revised (MPD-R) with age and IQ controlled. The MPD-R was administered to 45 black children, 45 Hispanic children, and 45 white children who had been referred for school psychological services. The MPD-R was scored for degrees of rotation of figures, separation of circle-diamond, distortion of circle-diamond, and distortion of dots. The results, using a one-way analysis of variance, indicated no significant differences among the three ethnic groups for the rotation T-score, which is controlled for IQ and age. However, significant differences were found for the supplementary scores. When IQ and age were controlled, the separation of circle-diamond score was not significant, but the other two scores remained significant, with whites perfnrming better than blacks on most scores. Hence, when evaluating the supplementary scores, race and IQ must be taken into account.
