Immunoregulation effect of exopolysaccharide from Candida glabrata on splenic lymphocyte of mice

Objective:To investigate the immunoregulatory effect of exopolysaccharide(EPS) from Candida glabrata on splenic lymphocyte of mice.Methods: Effects of EPS on the proliferation of murine splenic cell was tested by MTT assay and the ability of IL-2 and IFN-γ production was determined by ELISA.Its cytolytic activity was also tested by MTT assay.Results:The EPS could directly stimulate the murine splenic lymphocyte proliferation,significantly augmented the production of IL-2 and IFN-γ,and enhanced the killing activity of NK cells on K562 cells.Conclusions:Candida glabrata EPS can enhance the immune function of murine splenic lymphocyte.
