摘要

We present the first measurements of the average energy deposition (as measured by small scintillators) in hadron showers produced by 300 GeV protons as a function of position in Al, Fe and Pb multiplate calorimeters. Sample energy deposition spectra are also presented for the first time. These measurements may be used as “benchmark” comparisons for Monte Carlo hadron cascade programs.
