Telethermography and Ophthalmodynamometry in Classic and Common Migraine

Seventy-seven patients affected with recurrent episodes of common and classic migraine were examined by means of thermography and 37 out of the group also by means of ophthalmodynamometry with or without the ophthalmic test.The aim was to reveal circulatory modifications in the sphere of the internal and external carotid arteries, during intercritical periods.The negative ophthalmodynamometrical results regarding a stenosis producing pathology at the origin of the internal carotid and the positive thermographic results, led the authors to postulate that the circulatory modification should be sought not in variations of the capacity of the large vessels, but in changes in the microcirculation.
