The stability constants,K st , of Cu(II), Fe(III) and Pb(II) chelates with N,N,N′,N′-ethylenediaminetetrakis(methylenephosphonic acid) (EDTMP) have been determined by reversed-phase ion-pair chromatography. The value of logK st was 6.18±0.32 for the Cu(II) complex, 5.75±0.16 for the Fe(III) complex and 5.67±0.07 for the Pb(II) complex.
