Measurement of the parameters of targets in the millimeter wavebands

The possibility of measuring the parameters of targets and channels and also the spectra of signals in the millimeter wavebands using a universal two-channel frequency-conversion unit and commercial centimeter- wave apparatus is considered. An estimate of the measurement error is given. Versions of these devices are proposed which enable attenuations to be measured down to 90–110 dB with high accuracy in the 37.5– 118 GHz frequency band.
