Preliminary study on immunoactivities of Zhiqi Fungal polysaccharides.

The enhancing immunoactivity of the Zhiqi (Ganoderma lucidum Astragalus membranaceus) fungal polysacc-harides was investigated in mice.Four portions polysaccharides were tested and shown significant enhancement to ConA-induced spleen lymphocyte proliferation response and mouse peritoneal macrophage phagocytic activity to chicken erythrocyte.The NK cell activities were also enhanced,where the GAP-3 was shown to promote NK cell-killing rate up to 27 % at 100 μg/mL dose.These results provide an experimental basis for Zhiqi fungal substance as a feed additive to improve the animal immunity.
