Quasi-molecular interpretation of α + nucleus resonances

Summary Models describing the resonant behaviour of heavy-ion reactions are briefly reviewed. Agreement between experimental data and calculated quantities has been surveyed. The application of these models to the scattering of α-particles from ligth nuclei is discussed.
