Abstract
The impact of derotation-varisation-osteotomy on head necrosis in cases of so-called congenital luxation of the hip-joint was rated on the basis of 108 hip-joints. In terms of total and epiphyseal quotient, an accelerated restructuring of the femur head may be assumed. Results obtained on the Perthes-like type are more convincing as compared to the cystic and desintegrational type. Yet, one eight of the material showed detoriation of the head's state. About 50% of cases improved by at least one rating-point, whereas 36% could not be much influenced by this surgical intervention.
