Behavioral effects of erthrocyte aggregation.

Microcirculatory observations and behavioral tests of discrimination and recent memory were made in rats before and after periods of erythrocyte aggregation. Some animals were treated with an antiadhesive drug prior to aggregation. This latter group had milder aggregation and suffered no behavioral losses. The group not treated with the antiadhesive agent had a marked sludge and performed poorly on tests of recent memory.
