Investigation of selenium content of eggs sampled from three major commercial cities along the lower reaches of the Changjiang River.

摘要
Eggs were collected from several supermarkets in Nanjing, Shanghai and Wuxi. Fluorospectrophotometry was used to determine the selenium (Se) content in egg white and yolk, and total Se was calculated. Results show that the range of total Se of eggs in the three regions was about 8–16μg per egg, with Se mainly deposited in the yolk.
