Vitamin E Supplementation Does Not Increase the Vitamin C Radical Concentration at Rest and after Exhaustive Exercise in Healthy Male Subjects
European Journal of Nutrition(2003)
摘要
Extensiveexercise may promote the formationof reactive oxygen speciesand subsequently contribute to tissuedamage. A compound whichcan protect cells and tissues is vitaminE. The vitamin E radical, formed during the radical scavengingprocess, can be reduced by vitaminC resulting in a higher level ofthe vitamin C radical (semidehydroascorbatefree radical). An increaseof the vitamin C radical, however, is assumed to exert prooxidativeeffects.
