Room Temperature Oxidation of Sintered YBCO Using Μs Pulsed Electrolysis

Sintered oxygen-poor YBCO samples have been oxygenated at room temperature using μs pulsed electrolysis in aqueous solutions. An increase of superconducting properties has been found by the measurement of the higher harmonic of ac susceptibility. Using the solution of the non-linear magnetic diffusion equation, quantitative values of the pinning potential, Up, and the critical current, Jc, near Tc have been determined.
