Abstract A very unusual dithiokikeptopiperazine structure ( 1 ) has been assigned to aspiroclorine, C 9 H 12 N 2 O 5 S 2 Cl, produced as a biologically active substance together with canadensolide by Aspergillus flavus , which has been found to be identical with the antibiotic A 30641 from A. tamarii .
