Dr. Md Zunaid Baten is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He received his PhD from the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA in 2016. Prior to this, he obtained his MSc and BSc degrees from the Department of EEE, BUET in 2012 and 2009 respectively. Soon after his graduation in October 2009, he joined the Dept. of EEE, BUET as a Lecturer, where he has been serving as a faculty member since. Dr. Zunaid's research interests lie in the areas of solid-state physics and electronics, novel electronic and optoelectronic devices, photonics and nanotechnology. He leads the Solid-state Electronics and Photonics (SSEP) research group in the Department of EEE, BUET, which explores both theoretical and experimental aspects related to design, fabrication and characterization of novel electronic, optoelectronic, photonic and spintronic devices and systems.
