Zhongping Wang

Zhiyong Wang received the B.S. degree in optoelectronics engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China, in 1991, and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), Blacksburg, in 2000. At Virginia Tech, he was a Research Assistant in the Photonics Laboratory, with an emphasis on fiber-optic sensors. In 2000, he joined Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies, Murray Hill, NJ, as a Member of Technical Staff. His current research is in the areas of long-period grating (LPG)-based active and passive device technologies and their system applications.
