Zelma H. T. Kiss

Zelma H. T. Kiss received the M.D. degree from the University of Ottawa, Ottawa, ON, Canada, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada, in 1988 and 1998, respectively. Currently, she is a Neurosurgeon/Scientist and Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences and the Hotchkiss Brain Institute at the University of Calgary, Calgary, AB, Canada. As a Clinical Scholar of the Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research (now known as AIHS), her research interests encompass the mechanisms of action of deep brain stimulation, neural prostheses, electrophysiology, and new indications for neuromodulation therapies.
