Zhenyu Gao

Zhenyu Gao received his M.Sc. in neuroscience at the Free University of Amsterdam (VU), the Netherlands, in 2006 and his Ph.D. in neuroscience at the Erasmus Medical Center (Erasmus MC), Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in 2011. He studied the roles of synaptic plasticity and calcium channels in cerebellar learning under the supervision of Freek Hoebeek. He is now a postdoctoral fellow in the De Zeeuw group at Erasmus MC, where he is setting up his cell physiology and imaging laboratory. His main research interest is the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying synaptic plasticity and dendritic integration.
