Yu Zhang

Yu Zhang received the bachelor’s degree and the M.S. degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2006 and 2009, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in information sciences and technology from Pennsylvania State University, State College, PA, USA, in 2014. He was a Senior Engineer with HERE Maps, Chicago, IL, USA, from 2015 to 2016, where he was involved in geospatial feature learning. He is currently a Senior Software Engineer with DeepMap Inc., Palo Alto, CA, USA, where he is involved in generating high-definition maps for autonomous vehicles. His current research interests include computer vision, machine learning, and geoinformatics.
