He obtained his PhD from the University of Tokyo in 2006. He joined Shibasaki’s group at the University of Tokyo as an assistant professor. Following a post-doctoral study with Hamilton’s group at Yale University, he returned to Nagasawa’s group at TUAT as an assistant professor. He joined Professor Sodeoka’s group at RIKEN in 2011 as a Research Scientist, and was promoted to Senior Research Scientist in 2018. His research interests include exploring molecular catalysis and chemical probes.
