Bio
Yoshiaki Kasahara (M’16) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in physics from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan.
He then joined the NEC Corporation, Tokyo, where he has been involved in antennas and electromagnetic noise suppression techniques on the basis of metamaterials for satellite communications, mobile communications, and radio frequency identification systems. His current research interests include metamaterials, metasurfaces, and electromagnetic bandgap structures over a broad range of spectrum from optical to microwave frequencies.
Mr. Kasahara was the recipient of several awards from the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE), Japan.
