In order to enhance awareness of invasive fungal infection, to improve quality of medical care and laboratory practice, and to facilitate research, she chair, design and promote continued education programs, including Medical Mycology Training Network in Asia and in Taiwan, and Asia CARE meeting. Dr. Chen has received several achievement awards, including personal academic awards from The Infectious Diseases Society of Taiwan and Formosa Medical Association, and, on behalf of National Taiwan University Hospital, quality improvement awards from CDC and Taipei City Government; Asia Pacific Hand Hygiene Excellent Award (developed country category) from Asia-Pacific Society of Infection Control and WHO Collaborating Centre on Patient Safety, Switzerland. She is a consultant or committee member at the Ministry of Health and Welfare, CDC, TFDA, and Taipei City Government.
