Luxiang Xu

Luxiang Xu received the bachelor’s degree in materials science and engineering and the master’s degree in materials science from Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China, in 2002 and 2005, respectively. He is currently a Research Associate and a Founding Member with the Space and Propulsion Centre Singapore, National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He has developed and implemented over 20 proprietary technologies for low-cost high-efficiency solar cells, solutions for environmental control, semiconductor processing, and small satellite propulsion modules for applications in space. He is a Key Researcher on numerous projects running in tandem. He has authored five provisional U.S. patents. His current research interests include small satellite propulsion, and diagnostics, construction, and performance evaluation of various high-density plasma sources.
