Xavier Courtois

Xavier Courtois was an Engineer in acoustic and vibration studies at C&V company from 1988 to 1991, in acoustic discretion for submarines in DGA with the Military Research Centre from 1991 to 1999, and in instrumentation for nuclear major accident experimentations with the Research Institute for Nuclear Safety from 1999 to 2005. He was a Responsible Officer of Core Fuel Instrumentation Research and Development project for CABRI WL Program. Since 2005, he has been an Engineer with the Institute of Research on Magnetic Fusion, CEA, Cadarache, France. He was involved in the development of lock-in infrared (IR) thermography for PFC nondestructive examination (Tore-Supra, W7-X) and material characterization (ITER, JET). He was in charge of Tore Supra IR thermography diagnostic development and exploitation, and development of IR diagnostics for the West project. He was a Responsible Officer of a contract with ITER Organization for the development of innovative methods of critical heat flux detection using acoustic monitoring.
