Wilson Aparecido Silva

Full Professor of human molecular genetics and head of the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics and Multiomics at Ribeirão Preto Medical School/University of São Paulo. I received my Ph.D. in Human Population Genetics from the same institution and completed postdoctoral training at Ludwig Institution at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. My research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms that drive tumorigenic processes, such as epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition. I am also interested in the characterization of the biological properties of cancer stem cells (CSCs).
