Bio
Chenyang Liu was born in Xinyang, Henan, China, in 1991. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China, in 2017.
He was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with State Grid Xuji Group Corporation, Xuchang, China, from 2017 to 2021. He is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Marine Electrical Engineering, Dalian Maritime University, Dalian, China. He is also the Principal of DC System Power Equipment Research Group of Sea and Ships, Dalian. He has participated in many ultra high voltage direct current (UHVDC), HVDC Light, and media voltage direct current (MVDC) System Project construction projects in China. Also, he has undertaken or participated in more than 30 scientific research projects such as Provincial Postdoctoral Fund, National Key Research and Development Program, and State Grid Science and Technology Project. He has authored or coauthored more than 30 SCI/EI journal or conference papers and holds five Chinese patents. His current research interests include nonlinear conductivity insulating materials, HVDC circuit breaker, high voltage test technology, space radiation, and electrical-motor insulation.
