Wei Ni(倪巍)

Wei Ni (M'09–SM'15) received the B.E. and Ph.D. degrees in electronic engineering from Fudan University, Shanghai, China, in 2000 and 2005, respectively. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with Shanghai Jiao Tong University (2005–2008); a Research Scientist and Deputy Project Manager with the Bell Laboratories R&I Center, Alcatel/Alcatel-Lucent (2005–2008); and a Senior Researcher with Devices R&D, Nokia (2008–2009). He is currently a Senior Scientist and Project Leader with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, Marsfield, Australia. He also holds adjunct positions with the University of New South Wales, Kensington, Australia; Macquarie University, Macquarie Park, Australia; and the University of Technology Sydney, Ultimo, Australia. His research interests include optimization, game theory, graph theory, and their applications to network and security. Dr. Ni has been serving as the Secretary of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society, New South Wales Chapter, since 2015 and as an Editor of the Journal of Engineering, Hindawi, since 2012. He is also the Track Co-Chair of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC)-Spring 2016 and the Track Chair of the IEEE VTC-Spring 2017. He served as the Student Travel Grant Chair for the International Symposium on Wireless Personal Multimedia Communications in 2014; a Program Committee Member of the International Conference on Communications and Networking in China (CHINACOM) in 2014; a Technical Program Committee Member of the IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference in 2010, the IEEE International Conference on Communications in 2014, the Education Innovation Conference and Exhibition in 2014, and the International Conference on Communications in China in 2015; and the Publication Chair for the International Conference on Body Area Networks (BodyNets) in 2015.
