Bio
William E. Asher (M’06) received the B.A. degree in chemistry from Reed College, Portland, OR, USA, in 1980, and the Ph.D. degree in environmental science and engineering from the Oregon Graduate Institute for Science and Technology, Beaverton, OR, USA, in 1987.
He is currently a Principal Oceanographer with the Applied Physics Laboratory, University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA. His research interests include the effects of rain on the coupling of heat, mass, and momentum between the atmosphere and ocean and air–water gas transfer processes.
