We've been actively exploring rigorous foundations for dependability analysis. As per recommendations of ISO and IEC standards, formal methods have been used extensively for rigorous formal dependability analysis of many safety-critical system. Theorem proving is a highly expressive formal method that provides a distinguishing feature to verify the generic system properties. We endeavor to utilize theorem proving approach in order to build a rigorous formal dependability analysis framework. An effective use of this framework to analyse the dependability analysis of safety-critical systems, such as Virtual Data Center and Satellite Solar Arrays, has been the prime objective of this research.
