As a passionate researcher, I am driven by the goal of making a meaningful impact and ensuring that my research results are effectively implemented and reach the intended audience. With over 12 years of experience as a self-motivated and independent researcher, I am confident in my ability to contribute to the field in a valuable way.
I obtained my education at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), where I participated in workshops, conferences, and assisted my professors in various projects. During my time there, I developed my experimental rig for catalytic hydrogen production and also engaged in modeling and simulation studies, resulting in several published papers. I was also an active member of the Institute of Future Energy (IFE), where I focused on hydrogen production from renewable sources, such as bio-oil derivatives, and participated in various events organized by the institute.
In addition, I conducted research on the synthesis and characterization of low-cost materials for hydrogen production from plastic waste reforming and cracking, including Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) dissolved in phenol. As a postdoctoral researcher at the Research Institute of the Petroleum Industry (RIPI) in Iran (April 2017 to April 2018), I led a project on the synthesis of suitable zeolites for naphtha reforming. This project involved the development of a zeoforming reaction using nano-sized ZSM-5 type zeolites with non-noble metal promoters, to produce high octane gasoline, as an alternative to conventional and expensive catalysts such as Pt/Al2O3.
In my postdoctoral program at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (July 2019 to June 2022), I continued my work in the field of renewable energy, focusing on the synthesis of catalysts from waste materials for biodiesel production and wastewater treatment. During my first contract (July 2019 to June 2021), I worked on synthesizing a catalyst from waste material to produce biodiesel from waste resources. My second contract (July 2021 to June 2022) involved simultaneous heavy metals ions and organic pollutants photoredox reactions over SiO2/ZrO2 based catalysts under solar-light irradiation.
Currently, as a postdoctoral researcher at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (July 2022 to present), I am focused on synthesizing nanostructured catalysts for hydrogen and liquid fuel production from phenol and plastic waste. My unwavering commitment to this field and my wealth of experience make me confident in my ability to make a lasting impact through my research.
