Virginie Blanchette is the first podiatrist PhD in Quebec and has been a professor at Universite du Quebec at Trois-Rivieres since 2014. Her research specialty is prevention and management of diabetic foot ulcers and their complications, with a limb preservation approach inclusing patient-oriented/centered research. She is mentored by David G Armstrong ( University of Southern California) and France Legare (Universite Laval). Member of the Wounds Canada board of directors, Diabetes Action Canada
