Dr. Volkis' lab works on the edge of polymer science and phytochemistry, providing non-traditional medical, agricultural and environmental solutions using biocompatible polymers and extracts from specialty crops reach by antioxidants, essential oils, and terpenes. Total of nearly $2,000,000 is current active research funds, two postdocs, 6 graduate and 8 undergraduate students.
