个人简介
Worked as the Country Director of Education Development Centre (EDC) and Chief of Party for USAID supported T4 project in India, before joining Christ University. Implemented large projects such as Technology Tools for Teaching and Training ( T4) in India which focused on improving the quality of education by using innovative pedagogy-based technology tools in the classroom, while also strengthening state-level systems that sustain the use of these tools. T4 project supported state governments in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and Delhi to increase equity, access and quality in over 350,000 Government schools and reaching over 42 million children.
Thirty five years of experience in areas like NGO Management, Project Planning and Management,Teacher Development, Curriculum Development, Developing ICT tools for Teaching & Learning, Emergency Management and Response, Leading and managing cross-cultural teams in multiple locations and humanitarian and development issues especially those related to children, gave me an opportunity to learn and develop innovative programmes in the development sector.
Currently, working with CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Bangalore, heading the Departments of Sociology and Social Work. Also, working as the Director of Centre for Social Action at Christ University. Prior to this assignment, I have worked with national and international organizations like EDC, CARE and UNICEF, leading Educational / developmental projects in various sectors like Education, Community Development, Labour Welfare & Personnel management, networking, capacity building of NGOs, Training, Disaster Relief & Reconstruction.
