My goal is to explore the genetic, epigenetic, and environmental regulation of processes linked to development or differentiation that contribute to normal and disease states, including cancer. My long-term goals are to unravel functional genetics and epigenetic mechanisms; especially, how transcription factors selectively regulate gene expression in cancer cells, which may reveal new therapeutic targets for cancer treatment.
