Varun Mandalapu

Varun Mandalapu received the master’s degree in management information systems from the University of Illinois Springfield, the master’s degree in sensor systems technology from the Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, India, and the Ph.D. degree in artificial intelligence and knowledge management from the Department of Information Systems, University of Maryland Baltimore County. He is a Research Assistant with the Sensor Accelerated Intelligent Learning (SAIL) Laboratory at UMBC under Dr. Jiaqi Gong and co-advised by Dr. Zhiyuan Chen and Dr. Karen Chen. He is also an affiliate member of the IEEE EMBS Technical Committee on Wearable Biomedical Sensors and Systems. His research publications appeared in reputed AI venues, such as AAAI Workshops, Artificial Intelligence in Education, Educational Data Mining, Smart Health, IEEE Body Sensor Networks, and IEEE Biomedical Health Informatics.
