Vangelis Economou

Dr. Economou has pursued science on the transboundary between human, animal and environmental health from his degree studies. His research involves zoonotic parasites of public health interest, foodborne pathogenic bacteria in environmental niches and the currently emerging antimicrobial resistance in foodborne pathogens. He aims to pursue the characterisation of the links between public health relevant pathogens under a One Health perspective.
