Research Summary
My research focuses on the modelling HIV epidemics, using an individual-based stochastic dynamic model of HIV transmission, progression and the effect of antiretroviral therapy,
to investigate the impact of improvements in HIV testing, earlier ART initiation, use of oral PrEP and introduction of new diagnostics and prevention interventions in high income and low income settings.
I am also involved in the design and analysis of cohort studies in people at risk of HIV infection and of people living with HIV in Europe and in Zimbabwe.
I collaborate closely with colleagues in my centre at UCL and clinicians, epidemiologists and economists from other universities in the UK and abroad.
