个人简介
As Professor and Chair of Radiology at the University Hospital Bonn, it is my personal aim to contribute to the digital transformation of the healthcare system. I strongly believe that AI-based workflow optimization processes beyond radiology and at the interfaces of different disciplines will help to address future challenges and increase the efficacy and quality of care for our patients whilst also enabling cost savings for the healthcare system.
Strategy4Radiology
Diagnostic imaging and minimally invasive, imaging-based therapy are major pillars for AI-driven precision medicine. My team and me work closely with our collaboration partners from industry and academia across the globe on developing, implementing, and evaluating new strategies for improved data acquisition and integrative AI-based data analysis as input for further treatment regimens. It is essential in this to see the entire process from the patient’s perspective. Patients need to trust digital products and they need to agree on the usage of digital products in relation to their treatment.

To me, diversity and inclusion belong together and are increasingly important so that people feel supported and valued at work so that they can do their best possible job. We need a greater awareness of the value of diversity in our teams and we need to create a supportive environment that, in the end, will benefit not only our team members but also our patients and, finally, ourselves.
