Udo Bakowsky

Udo Bakowsky studied physical chemistry at the Martin-Luther University, Halle/Wittenberg, Germany, from 1985 to 1990. He received the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Physiological Chemistry at Martin-Luther University in 1995. From 1995 to 1999 he worked as Research Assistent at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Chemistry (Prof. P.Nuhn) in Halle. In 1999, he was awarded a personal fellowship by the “Stiftung Deutscher Naturforscher Leopoldina.” Between 1999 and 2001, he used this fellowship to conduct collaborative research at the Department of Membrane and Cell Biology at the University of Groningen (Prof. D. Hoekstra). Currently, he is Assistant Professor with the Department of Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology at Saarland University, Saarbrücken, Germany.
