Chandana P. Udawatte

My research interest is to investigate the chemistry and mineralogy of corundum and related gem minerals and how to value addition of low quality gems. I also have specialized the hydrothermal processing technology in order to fabricate different kind inorganic compounds and to study materials transformation around critical point of water. Presently my research projects focused on values addition of Sri Lankan economic minerals such as mineral sands, Apatite, Feldspar, Graphite and dolomite.
