Udit Narayan Pal (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.E. degree in electronics and communication engineering from the Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur, India, in 2003, the M.Tech. degree in electronics engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Banaras Hindu University Varanasi, Varanasi, India, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in plasma physics from the Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra, Ranchi, India, in 2014. Since 2005, he has been a Regular Scientist with Council of Scientific and Industrial Research–Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CSIR–CEERI), Pilani, India. He is currently a Senior Principal Scientist with CSIR–CEERI, and a Professor with the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), Ghaziabad, India. His current research interests include cold plasma technologies, vacuum ultraviolet (VUV)/ultraviolet (UV) sources, pseudospark discharge devices, high-power plasma switches, and pulsed electron beam sources.
