Piotr Tymoszuk

Piotr Tymoszuk currently works at the Department of Internal Medicine II, Medizinische Universitat Innsbruck. Piotr does research in Microbiology, Cancer Research and Immunology. Using a broad spectrum of methods (flow cytometry, microscopy and molecular biology techniques), animal models (knockout and lineage tracing mice), patient data and primary cells, Piotr and his colleagues try to understand better the link between macrophages and iron metabolism with consequences for tumor biology and erythropoiesis. His most recent publication is 'Iron in the Tumor Microenvironment—Connecting the Dots'.
