My interest is investigating different inflammatory processes induced by PAMPs as well as exosomes in the innate immune cells, especially microglial cells (long-lived immune cells in CNS) and neutrophils (short-life span cells) and their effects in various inflammatory diseases. We combine a wide-range of molecular methods to investigate the inflammatory status, metabolic changes, epigenetic variances, and signalling in strong relation to various in vivo setups.
