Toshimichi Otsubo

Toshimichi Otsubo was born in Fukuoka, Japan, in 1970. He received the B.L. degree from Hitotsubashi University, Kunitachi, Japan, in 1993 and the Ph.D. degree from Shinshu University, Nagano, Japan, in 2001. He then joined the Communications Research Laboratory that was later reorganized to the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology. He was a Visiting Scientist with the Natural Environment Research Council Space Geodesy Facility, U.K., from 1998 to 2000. He rejoined Hitotsubashi University in 2007, where he is currently an Associate Professor in the Graduate School of Social Sciences. He has worked on the analysis of space geodesy technologies and the precise orbit determination of artificial satellites. Dr. Otsubo is a member of the American Geophysical Union, the Geodetic Society of Japan, the Astronomical Society of Japan, the Japan Society of Aeronautical and Space Sciences, and the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers.
