Clinical and preclinical research within the field of internal radiation therapy of cancer, with strong emphasis on alpha-particle emitting radionuclides, eg At-211, Bi-213 & Ra-223. Main focus on two aspects of alpha-particle therapies; 1) imaging and small-scale dosimetry; 2) radiation biology and toxicity. Invented the Alpha Camera; an ex vivo-technique for quantitative imaging of alpha particles in tissues and organs. Multiple international research collaborations, including NIH-awards.
