Tobia Lakes

Tobia Lakes received the degree in geography from the Universities of Bonn, Duisburg, and Belfast; in Bonn, Germany; Essen, Germany; and Belfast, U.K., respectively, the Diploma degree in geography from the University of Bonn in 2001, and the Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing.) degree in geoinformation science and environmental planning from the Technische Universität Berlin, Berlin, Germany, in 2006. Between 2007 and 2015 she was an Asisstant Professor of Geoinformatics and is now a full professor with the Geography Department Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Berlin, Germany. She has contributed to several research projects on remote-sensing data and spatial modeling. Her research interests include integration of remote-sensing data with additional data to model the human-environment system in a spatially explicit way, urban areas and land use change.
