My current projects are 'avian respiratory pathogen detection and genotyping' of Infectious Bronchitis Virus, Infectious Laryngotracheitis Virus, NDV, Gallid Herpes Virus-1, Reovirus and Metapneumovirus. In addition, we have started to evaluate antibody status of healthy chickens against Chicken Infectious Anaemia Virus and to detect CIAV DNA. Also, we routinely detect Salmonella serotypes and Mycoplasmas by DNA-based methods and conventional culture techniques from chickens.
