I am broadly interested in adaptation within the immune systems of wild and domesticated animals. My current projects examine adaptation over several nested timescales, ranging from a few thousand years to hundreds of millions of years. I place particular emphasis on demonstrating the functional effects of selected sites using laboratory methods.
