Steve Bilodeau

Genes use networking strategies to communicate and exchange information. Each individual gene can be accessed following a precise number of commands that need to be executed in an orderly fashion. The result is a complex network of control modules and genes physically connected in the three-dimensional environment through an extended web of relationships. Our goal is to emphasize that environmental perturbations trigger the global response of connected genes. Our work is supported by the Canada Research Chair in Transcriptional Genomics, the CIHR (CEEHRC) and the NSERC. Our laboratory is always interested in recruiting talented, self-driven and motivated individuals to join our research team.
